I purchased my browser almost 2 years ago (Jan 07) and used it well for a year.  I have since gotten a new computer and not used it for about a year.  I tried re-installing it on this new PC and I can not activate the deluxe browser.  Do I need to have a membership for it to activate? Or what can I do to use my deluxe browser again?

I also purchased the browser in 2007 and also some creatables. My computer crashed last Dec and I lost everything. My question is the creatables that I purchased are still in my account on here and I have tried to re downloan them but I can't open it and I can't find my Browser. When I try to open what I have downloaded it tells me that I don't have the right program to open it. Can you tell me where I can get the Deluxe browser again. The computer that all of my creatables and Delux Browser was a Windows XP and now I have Windows Vists. Could that be the problem? I would like to purchase more creatables so I would like to know if I have to have a certain program (I have Acrobat). I don't want to re-purchase the creatables that I already have in my account if I don't have to. I would like to purchase some other ones. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hi,
To EllieJo
I don't have any answers as to why your computer can not open the exe files that you download from pcCrafter. I also am running a VISTA system and download and install my creatables just fine. I am asked "permission" to open and run the exe files and I say OK - I trust the site I am downloading them from etc. and its OK to run them (that's what you are downloading:  "exe" files or executable files from pcCrafter, they have little computer & disk icons).

When you run them they will auto install to a PC HugWare folder - if your computer doesn't have that folder it should automatically create it.

You can download the Browser as well, if you purchased the payfor Deluxe Browser - you will find that download in your accounts page past downloads page and under the Miscellaneous catergory.

You can download that first if you want - and install it. That will set up the PC HugWare folder for you. Then download each of your past purchases from your account. You do have to download each one and then install each one - one at a time.

If your Deluxe Browser is already in place - each creatable will install as it should and go into its proper subfolders.
JPGs go to the P or Painted folder, PNGs (PNG versions - the ones with no white box around them) are only available on anything "released" after June 1, 2006 - install to the T or Tiff folder. Older creatables - those released prior to June 1, 2006, may have the Black and White line art format versions, and the Color WMF versions they go in to the B and C folders.

Since you currently are not able to run the EXE files for your downloads - I can only recommend that you Phone pcCrafter on Monday during their normal 9-5 Provo Utah time business hours and hopefully they can walk you through the process of installing both your Browser and your Creatables.

Lots of us have VISTA and some gals are even running Windows 7. Note: You might have to run things such as these EXE files as "Administrator" if you have other people in your house also signed in or running their own setup on VISTA.

Good Luck

Where and how do I get the Deluxe Browser. I had purchased back in 2004 and I no longer can find it and I would like to purchase it again. I didn't see it listed to purchase anywhere. Thank you so much for all of your help.

To purchase the payfor Deluxe Browser - you can find it online at:
http://www.pccrafter.com/shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?id=568&s=1&c=5

Note: if you did already buy it, make sure you are logged in on the main pccrafter.com website - and if you are logged in, all of your "You already own me" messages will come up on the pcCrafter website. From those pages on any downloadable product or creatable etc. - you can re-download the creatable.

So if you did payfor the Browser - it should have a You Already Own Me notation.
Also in your Account page - all of your past downloads should be there - look on left hand side of your "My Account" page and see past downloads, click on All and then you will see a catergory:
Miscellaneous >> its under that catergory that things like the Deluxe payfor Browser would be listed.
