If you did not see it, and you have a chance to see a repeat in your area, you have GOT to watch the first 10 minutes!! in Dallas, it is repeating on a sister station in the evening, so I'm watching it again.
I can't believe I 'm in tears of joy over it right now!!!
the Black eyed peas sing the opening song.....i'm looking the audience because it is huge...it takes up a mile of downtown Chicago..i'm wondering why no one is clapping..onlya girl in the front is dancing all over the place...slowly, more join her...until by the end of the song the whole crowd is doing the same dance TOGETHER! It is INCREDIBLE!!!!!
you have to see it. how fun!! oops, gotta go, they are going to tell how they got those thousands of people to do that....
I'm trying to sew....not happening for the next few minutes!!

I am going to watch it tonight. It was filmed here in Chicago. My son is in the hospital about 1 block from where it was filmed. Had a hard time getting around but it was very interesting. THanks for the heads up.

I watched that whole show and the crowd dancing in sync was coreagraphed and taught to 800 people and then those 800 taught the rest of the crowd to surprise Oprah even though her staff was in on it. It was really neat to see, and everyone was so in tune to each other and danced together. Really a good season opener show done on THE MIRACLE MILE in Chicago.
yep...it was so cool...not paying that much attention to the rest as my head is down doing handwork (Making some pillows) but the opener was lots of fun! I figured there were either plants in the audience or screens somewhere showing them what to do...I lovedthe giant "wave" they did from the front all the way up the street! how fun would THAT have been!!
Barboo, how is your son doing??? Sorry to hear he is in the hospital.

Didn't see it but the music and all those people dancing sounds like a similar thing I saw not long ago on Youtube. I wouldn't even know where to find or what it was called.

WOW!!! I watched it last night and I had tears in my eyes. What a emotional event. It shows to go ya you can achieve something together.
By the way My son is still in the hospital. Don't know what the heck is wrong. They think it might be his heart. Stll running test and more test. They have him scheduled for a Heart Scan on Monday. They were suppose to do it today but it was cancelled. I am so scared.
